Electronic Telegram No. 5481 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams Mailing address: Hoffman Lab 209; Harvard University; 20 Oxford St.; Cambridge, MA 02138; U.S.A. e-mail: cbatiau@eps.harvard.edu (alternate cbat@iau.org) URL http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/index.html Prepared using the Tamkin Foundation Computer Network (64338) 2001 UU_64 M. Conjat, Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur; J. F. Gout, Starkville, MS, USA; D. Augustin, Anglet, France; F. Manzini, Sozzago, Italy; and R. Behrend, Geneva Observatory, Switzerland, report that photometric observations taken with four telescopes (a 0.40-m telescope at the Nice Observatory; a 0.35-m telescope at Starkville; a 0.35-m telescope at the E-EyE observatory outside of Fregenal de la Siera, Spain; and a 0.40-m telescope at Stazione Astronomica di Sozzago) during 2024 Nov. 28-Dec. 8 reveal that minor planet (64338) is a binary system with an orbital period of 19.63 +/- 0.01 hr. The primary shows a period of 3.818 +/- 0.001 hr with light-curve amplitude of 0.1 mag at solar phases 1-7 degrees. Mutual eclipse/occultation events that are 0.2 to 0.25 magnitude deep indicate a lower limit on the secondary-to-primary mean- diameter ratio of 0.45.
