C. Shoemaker has discovered a fast-moving asteroidal object
on exposures by E. Shoemaker and herself with the 0.46-m Schmidt
at Palomar. The following positions (the May 11 observation being
a prediscovery) have been measured by S. J. Bus and F. Salazar
with the PDS scanning microdensitometer at the Lowell Observatory:

PERIODIC COMET TSUCHINSHAN 2 (1985d)
J. Gibson, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, reports his recovery of
this comet with the 1.6-m Palomar reflector and CCD as follows:
