Cassatella, International Ultraviolet Explorer Observatory, Villafranca, reports: "Ultraviolet observations by IUE on Nov. 30.7 and Dec. 2.6 UT show an intense 120-320-nm continuum and strong emission lines of He II (164.0, 320.4 nm) and O III (313.2 nm), as well as fainter emissions of N V (124.0 nm), C IV (155.0 nm), and Si IV (140.0 nm). The strengths of the continuum and of the emission lines are comparable to those observed during the active phase in early 1981. The ultraviolet spectrum of Dec. 2 is a factor of about 1.5 stronger than on Nov. 30, while the V magnitude from the fine-error-sensor onboard IUE was about the same (V about 11.2). Two long-wavelength (195-320-nm) spectra obtained on Dec. 2 give fluxes that are different by a factor of about 1.3, indicating possible short-term variability on a timescale less than about 1 hr." Further visual magnitude estimates (cf. IAUC 4282), some reported via J. Mattei, AAVSO: Dec. 5.97 UT, 11.3 (G. Dyck, N. Dartmouth, MA); 6.16, 10.3 (R. Ariail, Columbia, SC); 6.84, 10.6 (S.
