McNaught, University of Adelaide, reports his discovery of a fast-moving asteroidal object on a U.K. Schmidt plate exposed by P. McKenzie. McNaught provides the following measurements from the discovery plate and a Sept. 23 exposure with the Uppsala Southern Schmidt telescope: 1990 UT R.A. (1950) Decl. R. Pettersen, Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics, University of Oslo, writes: "CCD images of QSO 2237+0305 ('Huchra lens', 'Einstein cross'), obtained by B. R. Pettersen and T. Korhonen on several nights between Aug. 25 and 31 with the 2.5-m Nordic Optical Telescope on La Palma during excellent seeing conditions (FWHM < 0".6), reveal photometric changes in individual components of this gravitationally lensed quasar. Most noticeable is that component B is currently 0.15 +/- 0.05 mag brighter than A in the r filter (660 nm). A similar value is found in v (545 nm). This may be due to microlensing effects and we urge other observers to monitor this object. Data reductions were made independently in Oslo (R. Stabell, E. Knain, B. R. Pettersen) and Hamburg (J. Schramm)." 1990 September 24 (5099) Daniel W. E. Green
